Hi, I wrote a code to copy the OLEObjects and paste it in another Object Text. All OLEObjects are copied and able to paste.But static metafiles are copied and it is not pasted in the Object text. Is that possible to paste the static metafiles in Object text.

Now DOOR sees an OLE diagram. When you "open" or "edit" it, MS-Word deals directly with your non-OLE diagram. IIRC, inserting an "equation" into the text at a precise position requires this method. (Inserting Word tables into DOORS is similar, paste the Word table into an embedded Word document object). I'd be delighted if someone would explain a better method; as this one requires all clients to have MS-Office installed. -Louie I never do it, but you CAN insert one non-OLE "Picture" into the DOORS Object. No more than one Picture per object. It will appear in the "Main" display column but it is not in any attribute, specifically not in Object Text. IIRC, you had to create a new DOORS Object with the picture. Since DOORS calls this a "Picture" I try not to use the word "Picture" when talking about OLE stuff, which I call OLE 'Diagrams' even when it looks like a, well, a pixture. OLE diagrams are far easier to deal with; inserting, removing, resizing, viewing, editing; everything. I can think of no advantage of such a "Picture" over one wrapped in OLE as above ... although hopefully someone is about to point one out. |

In DOORS v4 and previous, "Pictures" were inserted into the "Project" and given a "Name", and the Object was able to command "Display that picture here". This was actually useful as several objects could display the same picture such as the Project Time Table or the finished product in multiple modules. |
